Kartasura – UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta organized a preparatory meeting for the field assessment of the Higher Education Accreditation at the SBSN Building Hall, Floor 1, on Monday (26/2/2024). The meeting was attended by 111 key committees previously formed by the rector to prepare for the field assessment, which will be carried out on 22-24 March 2024. This main team consists of the rector, vice-rectors, and fourteen primary sections, including the section of secretary, data and documents, report reviews, visualization of self-evaluation reports, events and protocols, mujahadah, equipment, information technology, publications, transportation, consumption, educational service exhibitions, infrastructure and stakeholders.
In her speech, the head of the quality assurance institution at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, Dr. Hafidah, S. Ag. M. Ag, reminded the audience that a series of preparations that took approximately nine months is now almost nearing the end. For this reason, Dr. Hafidah hoped that each committee could carry out its duties well so the field assessment process could run smoothly. To be accredited as “Unggul”, she broke down seven simulations that must be carried out, including simulations of higher education performance reports, nine accreditation criteria, top management, lecturers, education staff, students, alumni, partners and users.
Apart from that, the rektor of UIN Raden Mas Said, Prof. Dr. Toto Suharto, S. Ag., M. Ag, also took his time to give suggestions. In his explanation, the rector said this is a golden opportunity, and UIN Surakarta must seize it. When the university is accredited as “Unggul”, he claimed that the institution has a big chance to obtain various benefits and privileges, including national or international aid, cooperation between business and industry, competitive research grants and community service. “At least, we must prepare three essential things in this accreditation process,” he added. First, the nine accreditation criteria documents must be completed and perfected. Furthermore, the spatial layout must be designed in such a way that the infrastructure must be well-prepared. Finally, human resources must be qualified well, and one of the indicators is that lecturers must own research accounts in Sinta, Google Scholar or Scopus. At the end of the session, the rector appealed to the 111 team to make the best contribution so that UIN Raden Mas Said could reach Unggul accreditation.
